Spartanburg, SC – 3⭐️ forward Tyler Brown has committed to Wofford Men’s Basketball.
The 6’9” power forward out of Concord, North Carolina is ranked the No. 10 player in the state and No. 160 nationally per PrepHoops. PrepHoops also named him the No. 1 two way player in North Carolina ahead of the 2026 to 27 season. This summer he earned UANext Boys Hoops Finals Defensive MVP and a first team All UAA Defensive Team selection.
Brown is a walking double double. He is a lob threat on offense, a strong post player, and an aggressive rim protector on defense. In his junior season for a loaded Ambassador Christian roster, he averaged 9.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, 1.3 steals and 1.0 assists per game while shooting an extremely efficient 65% from the floor. Brown gives the Tdawgs a floor spacing big who cleans the glass and alters shots, while having the bounce to slam the ball with authority and style.
He chose the Terriers over Mercer, UNC Greensboro, South Florida, Northern Illinois, Western Carolina, North Florida, Samford, Binghamton, Queens and several others.
Brown is the second commit in Kevin Giltner’s 2027 class after 3⭐️ combo guard Nylan Rush locked in on Sept. 6.
