Wofford has received 53 votes in this week’s AFCA Coaches’ Poll, leading to the Terriers just outside the cut of breaking into the Top 25 for the first time since 2024.

Wofford flew up the polls to #28 last week after a Week 0 drubbing of The Citadel, up a whopping 17 spots from their preseason ranking. The Citadel bounced back with a big win of their own, winning in 3OT vs FBS Charlotte.

This week’s gains were modest for Wofford, as the Terriers let Gardner-Webb back into the game in the second half after taking a 14-3 lead into halftime. Despite the close call, the Terriers moved up two spots in the polls leading into a big FCS vs. FBS matchup this Saturday on the road at Kent State.

The Kent State game was rated as a Top 15 FCS-FBS upset opportunity in the country in the preseason by multiple outlets.

Wofford will face the Golden Flashes this Saturday on the road in Ohio at 12:00PM ET.
