3⭐️ G Jyi Dawkins (IG: @thejyidawkins) has committed to Wofford Men’s Basketball.

The former Western Carolina commitment is considered a Top 300 player in the country in the @247Sports Composite rankings. The 6’4” combo guard averaged 32.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 4.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game during his senior season, and was one of five finalists for the prestigious Mr. Basketball award in North Carolina. He was 14th in scoring nationally as a senior, and was chosen as the Metro 6A/7A Player of the Year. He led Ben L Smith High School to a North Carolina 6A State Championship as a Junior.

Jyi chooses the Terriers over interest from NC State, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, Liberty, Fairleigh Dickinson, Iona, La Salle, Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian, Queens, Hofstra, James Madison, Western Carolina, UNC Greensboro, Tennessee Tech, Howard, NC A&T, Campbell, Cleveland State & others.

He joins Cutter Sisk as one of two high school commits in Wofford’s 2026 class.
