Wofford Baseball has been ranked #22 in the 11point7.com Mid-Major Top 25 this week. The Terriers are currently 26-11 and 8-1 in the SoCon, holding first place with a 2 game advantage. Wofford has won 5 straight games, and 13 of their last 15, heading into a four-game series with UNC Asheville this weekend. Wofford swept rival The Citadel this past weekend. The Terriers’ sole SoCon loss on the season came in a 13-12 loss in extra innings on the road at VMI, having already won the first two games of the series.

The Terriers are led at the plate by a plethora of big-time hitters, with 4 different players holding over a 1.000 OPS (at least 65 ABs). Ben Timblin has 8 HRs and 43 RBIs on the season, leading the team in both categories. He has been nightmare for opposing pitchers, holding a .345 batting average and incredible 1.113 OPS. Logan Trimble holds an insane .403 batting average of his own, along with a 1.020 OPS in 129 AB’s this season. Niko Brini has knocked 5 out of the park this year, with 32 RBIs and an impressive 1.009 OPS.

On the mound, the Terriers boast a nasty starting rotation led by Alec Bouchard, who holds a 1.64 ERA over 49.1 innings in 9 starts (6-2). He has held opponents to a .213 batting average, while striking out 1/3 of the batters he faces with 61 K’s on the year. Cullen Condon has been another reliable starter for the Terriers, holding a 1.80 ERA of his own over 30 IP. He holds a 4-1 record over 7 starts.
